Questions about this item

What wireless standard does the iPad 5 use and what speed does it cap at in practice?

It uses Wi-Fi only; real-world throughput depends on the router and signal quality rather than a fixed ceiling.

What physical features affect how the 9.7-inch iPad fits in a case or mount?

The aluminium unibody is 7.5 mm thick and has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Lightning port and side buttons that cases must accommodate.

How do you set up this iPad and which step is often missed?

Power on, choose language, join Wi-Fi, sign in with an Apple ID, then enable iCloud Backup — the backup toggle is the step most people skip.
