What this iPad is

The Apple iPad 6 is a 9.7 inch tablet released in 2018 with 32GB of storage in a Silver finish. It runs on Wi-Fi only and is supplied new with an aftermarket premium wall charger and cable included.

The deciding specification

The 32GB capacity determines whether this model fits your needs. It holds a moderate library of apps, documents and media, but buyers who want more storage for large video collections or extensive offline libraries should look elsewhere.

How it fits your setup

Wi-Fi connectivity lets you join home, office or public networks without a cellular plan. The included charger and cable mean you can power the device immediately, freeing you from sourcing a separate Lightning cable and power adapter.

Questions about this item

What does the 32 GB figure mean once the tablet is set up?

The 32 GB is the total on-board storage. iPadOS and pre-installed apps use a portion of it, so the space available for your own apps, photos and files will be somewhat less.

What does the Wi-Fi only specification cap in practice?

It limits the tablet to wireless networks; there is no cellular modem, so you cannot insert a SIM card or use mobile data when away from a Wi-Fi hotspot.

What does the 9.7 inch screen size mean for fitting a case or mount?

The 9.7 inch diagonal is the standard sixth-generation iPad footprint, so any case, stand or keyboard made for that model will align with the camera, buttons and port openings.
