Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 10.2 inch iPad produce when running all day?

The tablet is passively cooled with no fans, so it makes no audible noise. Under sustained load the aluminium chassis becomes warm to the touch but stays within normal operating limits.

What else must I already own for the cellular model to connect to a mobile network?

You need an active nano-SIM plan from any carrier; the device is unlocked and supports 4G LTE bands used by major networks.

Will the 32 GB iPad from 2019 run the same apps as my older Lightning accessories and first-generation Apple Pencil?

Yes, the Lightning port and iPadOS support keep compatibility with existing chargers, the first-gen Pencil and most current apps from the App Store.
