10.2-inch Retina display tablet

The Apple iPad 7th Generation features a 10.2-inch Retina display and 32GB of built-in storage in Space Gray. It runs on the A10 Fusion chip and connects via Wi-Fi 5. An 8MP rear camera and 12MP FaceTime HD front camera handle photos and video calls. Touch ID provides secure fingerprint authentication.

Sustained everyday performance

The A10 Fusion chip delivers consistent speed for web browsing, streaming and productivity apps during extended sessions. Stereo speakers maintain clear audio output without distortion over long periods. The Lightning connector supplies reliable power for continued use while charging. iOS optimisations keep background tasks responsive when multiple apps are open.

Wi-Fi 5 and Lightning interface limits

Wi-Fi 5 caps wireless throughput at the standard's maximum link rate, so very large file transfers will take longer than on newer protocols. The Lightning connector limits charging speed and data transfer to USB 2.0 rates. The fixed 32GB storage cannot be expanded, requiring cloud offload for heavy media libraries. Touch ID works only with enrolled fingerprints.

Questions about this item

Does the A10 Fusion chip make the iPad run hot or noisy during all-day use?

The A10 Fusion chip runs cool and silent with no fans; normal all-day tasks keep the chassis barely warm to the touch.

What charger and cable do I need to power the Lightning connector?

A USB-A power adapter and a Lightning-to-USB-A cable are included in the box.

Will my older Lightning headphones and docks still work with this 10.2-inch model?

Yes, the Lightning port is identical to earlier iPads, so existing Lightning audio accessories and docks connect directly.
