Ready-to-use 10.2-inch iPad with cellular

The eighth-generation iPad combines a 10.2-inch Retina display with an A12 Bionic chip and 3 GB of memory. Internal storage is 128 GB. WiFi 5 and unlocked 4G LTE give internet access at home or away. The tablet runs iPadOS 16 and charges through a Lightning port.

Suits students and mobile workers who need

Buyers who want a newer processor or more RAM should consider other models. Users who rely on the latest Bluetooth accessories may find version 4.2 limiting. Anyone needing expandable storage or a USB-C connector will not find those features here.

Unlocked 4G LTE decides if this fits a mobile

The cellular modem works with any compatible nano-SIM or eSIM plan, so the iPad connects without a phone hotspot. If constant on-the-go data is not required, a Wi-Fi-only tablet could be simpler. The modem is the single specification that determines suitability.

Questions about this item

Does the WiFi 5 and UNLOCKED 4G LTE combination limit real-world download speeds?

WiFi 5 caps local wireless throughput while the unlocked 4G LTE modem handles cellular data; actual speeds depend on your carrier signal and router rather than the iPad itself.

What physical accessories does the 10.2-inch Retina Display and Lightning port require for mounting or charging?

The 10.2-inch chassis fits standard 10.2-inch cases and keyboard folios, while charging uses the built-in Lightning port with any Apple-certified Lightning cable or power adapter.

How is the nano-SIM installed for the UNLOCKED 4G LTE feature, and what step do users often miss?

Eject the side tray with the SIM tool, place the nano-SIM in the tray with the angled corner aligned, reinsert the tray fully, then enable Cellular Data in Settings to activate the connection.
