10.2-inch Retina tablet for everyday use

The 10.2-inch Retina display delivers 2160x1620 resolution at 500 nits brightness. An Apple A13 Bionic chip with 3GB RAM handles routine apps and media playback. Silver finish, 64GB built-in storage, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 complete the core specification. Touch ID provides secure authentication and Apple Pay support.

Passive cooling runs silent in normal use

No fans or moving parts mean zero audible noise during typical browsing, streaming or document work. The A13 Bionic chip operates within its thermal envelope without active cooling. Battery health ranges from 80 to 100%, supporting all-day mixed workloads. Stereo speakers handle audio without adding heat.

Sustained workloads stay within thermal limits

Extended video editing or gaming sessions cause gradual warmth across the aluminium chassis but no throttling in typical scenarios. The 3GB RAM ceiling limits simultaneous heavy apps rather than thermals. Rear 8MP camera records 1080p video continuously without overheating. Front 12MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage maintains video-call framing during long meetings.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the iPad 9 and what step do people often miss?

Power on, connect to Wi-Fi 5, then sign in with an Apple ID; the step often missed is enabling Touch ID during initial setup so Apple Pay and secure unlock work immediately.

What maintenance will the iPad 9 need later?

The battery health is rated 80–100%; if capacity drops below 80% you will need a battery service to restore full-day runtime.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy use?

The 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage fill quickly with large apps and media, causing slower multitasking and forcing offloads before the A13 Bionic chip reaches thermal limits.
