Apple iPad Air 2 A1566 16GB Wi-Fi

The Apple iPad Air 2 A1566 is a 9.7-inch tablet with 16GB of built-in storage and 2GB of memory. It runs iOS and connects via Wi-Fi. The Space Gray finish gives it a neutral, professional appearance. This unit is supplied new with a UL approved power adapter and charging cable.

Suits light portable use.

Buyers who want a thin tablet for web browsing, email, video streaming and basic app use will find the 9.7-inch display and Wi-Fi connectivity adequate. Users who need more storage for large media libraries, offline maps or creative project files should look at a model with greater capacity. The 2GB memory also limits multitasking with demanding applications.

16GB fixed storage decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the 16GB built-in storage, which cannot be expanded. If your apps, photos, documents and offline content fit comfortably within that space, the tablet will serve you. If you anticipate needing more room, a different unit is required.

Questions about this item

Will the 16GB storage need a replacement later?

The 16GB storage is soldered to the logic board and cannot be swapped. If you run out of space you must offload files to iCloud or a computer; there is no internal upgrade path.

What limit appears first during sustained use on the A1566?

With only 2GB of RAM, multitasking hits memory pressure before the processor throttles, so apps reload more often during long sessions.

How much heat or fan noise does the 9.7" model produce when running all day?

The tablet has no fan and relies on passive cooling; the aluminium back warms noticeably under continuous load but stays within safe touch temperatures.
