What this iPad Air 2 is and who it fits

This Apple iPad Air 2 MH312LLA is a 9.7-inch tablet with 128 GB of built-in storage and 2 GB of memory. It runs iPadOS 15.4 on a 64-bit Apple A8X chip with an M8 motion co-processor. The Space Gray model includes an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera. It is a new unit supplied with a UL approved power adapter and cable.

Deciding specification: cellular unlocked

The single specification that decides fit is the unlocked cellular capability combined with Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0. This allows mobile data use with any compatible carrier SIM alongside standard wireless networking. Buyers who only need Wi-Fi connectivity or who require a newer cellular standard should look at other models.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This tablet suits users who want a lightweight 9.7-inch iPad with ample 128 GB storage for apps, media and documents, plus the freedom of unlocked cellular data. It is not for buyers who need more internal storage than 128 GB, those who require a larger display for multitasking, or anyone who depends on the latest iPadOS features unsupported by the A8X architecture.
