Compact iPad for mobile work

The 7.9-inch Retina display and A12 Bionic chip deliver desktop-class performance in a tablet that fits one hand. Cellular connectivity keeps you online without Wi-Fi. It runs iPadOS 15.4 with full Apple Pencil support for notes and sketching.

Cellular data depends on carrier coverage

Gigabit-class LTE works only where your network provides signal and an active data plan. Wi-Fi handles local connectivity. The unlocked SIM slot accepts any compatible carrier, but roaming terms and speeds vary by provider and location.

256 GB storage defines the ceiling

All apps, photos, videos and offline files must fit inside the fixed 256 GB capacity. There is no microSD slot or external expansion. Buyers who need more local space for large media libraries should consider a different configuration.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 256 GB version or a smaller capacity?

The 256 GB model stores far more apps, photos and offline media than lower capacities, so choose it if you want to avoid managing space.

What does the A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine actually do in daily use?

It powers real-time machine learning for smoother photo editing, responsive gaming and augmented reality without slowing the system.

How fast is the Gigabit-class LTE connection in practice?

It supports peak cellular download speeds up to 1 Gbps, though real-world throughput depends on carrier coverage and network congestion.
