Compact 9.7" tablet with 64 GB storage

The Apple iPad mini is a thin, lightweight 9.7-inch tablet finished in Space Gray. It ships new with 64 GB of built-in storage and Wi-Fi connectivity. The compact form factor suits readers, students and travellers who want a capable iOS device that fits in one hand.

64 GB capacity for everyday apps and media

Sixty-four gigabytes holds a typical mix of productivity apps, e-books, photos and offline video. Heavy local media libraries or large game collections will fill the space quickly, so users who keep extensive offline content should plan for cloud offload or streaming alternatives.

Passive cooling runs silent in normal use

With no moving parts the tablet stays completely silent during reading, browsing and video playback. The aluminium chassis dissipates warmth from the processor so surface temperatures remain comfortable during extended sessions. Power draw is modest, delivering all-day battery life on a single charge.

Questions about this item

Will the 9.7" iPad mini fit my existing Apple Smart Keyboard or case?

The iPad mini 9.7" has different dimensions than the 9.7-inch iPad, so existing full-size keyboard cases and Smart Covers will not fit.

How can I confirm the display meets the stated 858:1 contrast and .6 nits black level?

Open a pure-black test image at maximum brightness in a dark room; the screen should show deep blacks with no visible backlight bleed.

Does the 64 GB Wi-Fi model ship with a charger and cable, or do I need to buy them?

The box includes the iPad, a USB-C power adapter and a USB-C charge cable; no separate purchase is required for basic charging.
