12.9-inch iPad Pro with 256 GB storage

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro delivers a 2732×2048 Liquid Retina display at 264 ppi with 5.6 million pixels. It runs on a 2.2 GHz Apple A9X chip with 4 GB memory and 256 GB built-in storage. The tablet operates on iOS and supports iPadOS 15.4 for professional workflows.

Sustained performance on A9X architecture

The 64-bit A9X processor with M9 motion coprocessor maintains desktop-class CPU and console-class graphics output during extended sessions. Variable refresh rate and oxide TFT technology improve energy efficiency while the photo alignment layer keeps brightness uniform across the 12.9-inch panel under continuous load.

Wi-Fi only connectivity limits mobile use

This A1584 model provides Wi-Fi networking without cellular capability, so internet access requires a wireless network. Buyers who need always-connected mobility or a physical SIM slot cannot use this unit for those scenarios. The 90-day warranty covers functional defects only.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the A9X chip produce when the iPad Pro 12.9" runs continuously all day?

The A9X processor has no internal fan, so the tablet stays silent; the aluminium chassis spreads warmth evenly and remains comfortable to hold during extended sessions.

Which accessories must I already own to charge and use this A1584 model right away?

A UL-approved Lightning power adapter and charging cable are included in the box, so no extra purchase is required for power or data sync.

Will the 2732×2048 Retina display and iOS 15.4 work smoothly with my older Lightning dock and Bluetooth keyboard?

Yes — the Lightning port and standard Bluetooth profiles keep full compatibility with existing docks, keyboards and other accessories you already own.
