12.9-inch iPad Pro 256GB cellular

The second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro model A1671 combines Wi-Fi and unlocked cellular connectivity with 256GB of built-in storage and 4GB of memory. It runs iOS and is powered by a 2.3 GHz Apple A10X Fusion six-core processor with an M10 motion coprocessor. The 12.9-inch Liquid Retina display delivers a 2732×2048 resolution at 264 pixels per inch, 120 Hz refresh rate, 600 cd/m² brightness, P3 wide colour gamut and an anti-reflective coating rated at 1.8% reflectivity.

Cameras and included accessories

A 13 MP rear camera with autofocus and a backside-illuminated sensor works alongside a 7 MP front-facing camera for photos, video and FaceTime calls. The box supplies a UL-approved power adapter and a charging cable so the tablet can be powered immediately without sourcing a separate charger. The unit ships without its original retail packaging.

Setup and common issues

Initial configuration follows the standard iOS activation flow and completes in minutes once a SIM is inserted for cellular models. The device arrives updated to iPadOS 15.4, so no large day-one download is required. Cellular activation can fail if the carrier does not support the tablet's LTE bands, and the non-original packaging means the serial-number label on the retail box is unavailable for warranty registration.

Questions about this item

Will the 256 GB SSD need replacement later?

The 256 GB SSD is soldered to the logic board and cannot be swapped; only a full board service would change the storage.

What limits sustained performance on the A10X Fusion chip?

The 2.3 GHz six-core processor throttles when thermal headroom is reached, which is the first ceiling during prolonged heavy workloads.

How hot and loud does it get when used all day?

The fanless design runs silent; the aluminium chassis spreads heat, so surface temperature rises but stays within the 600 cd/m² display’s operating envelope.
