256GB iPhone 8 for prepaid users

The Apple iPhone 8 A1863 comes with 256GB of storage and runs iOS 15.4 out of the box. It is sold new and fully unlocked, so it works with any compatible prepaid plan without a contract. The 4.7-inch Retina HD display uses True Tone technology for accurate colour in different lighting. Touch ID and Apple Pay provide secure authentication and payments.

Lightning connector and wireless charging limits

Charging and data transfer rely on the Lightning interface, which caps wired speeds at USB 2.0 rates. Wireless charging works with any Qi pad but is slower than a cable connection. The single port also means you cannot charge and use wired headphones at the same time without an adapter. Large file moves over the wire will take noticeably longer than on newer USB-C devices.

256GB capacity handles large libraries

The 256GB capacity comfortably stores thousands of photos, hours of 4K video and dozens of games without off-loading to iCloud. Heavy users who shoot ProRAW bursts or download many AAA titles will eventually fill the drive and need cloud management. The A11 Bionic chip at 2.4 GHz keeps everyday tasks and AR apps smooth, though the newest iOS features may run slower than on current models.
