What it is and who it's for

The Apple iPhone XR A1984 is a new, fully unlocked smartphone with 256GB of internal storage. It runs iOS 15.4 on the 2.49 GHz Apple A12 Bionic processor and features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display. The 12 MP rear camera includes optical image stabilisation and a sapphire crystal lens cover. This device suits anyone wanting a capable iPhone with generous storage at a mid-range price point.

Who should consider it and who should not

Buyers who prefer Face ID authentication and a single-lens camera with strong computational photography will find this model fits well. It also supports GPS navigation and Haptic Touch feedback for system interactions. Shoppers who need a dual or triple camera system, a smaller form factor, or the latest processor generation should look at other options.

The spec that decides fit

The 256GB storage capacity is the defining specification; it determines how many apps, photos, videos and system updates the phone can hold without requiring cloud offload. If that amount matches your typical usage, the iPhone XR A1984 is the right part.

Questions about this item

Does the iPhone XR A1984 require a SIM card from a specific carrier to activate?

The handset is fully unlocked, so any active nano-SIM from a compatible network will activate it without carrier restrictions.

Will my existing Lightning cables and 5 W USB-A power adapters charge this model at full speed?

Yes, the included UL-approved adapter and cable use the same Lightning connector, and older 5 W bricks will charge the phone, though more slowly than higher-wattage units.

After first boot, how can I confirm the A12 Bionic is running iOS 15.4 and the 256 GB storage is recognised?

Open Settings > General > About; the screen will list iOS 15.4, model A1984 and a capacity of 256 GB if everything is working as intended.
