16 GB iPod touch for portable media

This 6th-generation iPod touch provides 16 GB of flash storage for music, movies and apps on a 4-inch Retina IPS display. It connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 and includes an 8 MP iSight camera plus a 1.2 MP FaceTime HD camera. The refurbished unit ships with earbuds, a Lightning-to-USB cable and an AC USB power adapter.

Upgrade from older iPod or phone-only storage

Buyers replacing an earlier iPod with less capacity or relying solely on a smartphone for media gain a dedicated player with a larger screen and access to the iTunes Store and App Store. The jump is worthwhile when you want offline playback without using phone battery or cellular data. It does not suit users who need expandable storage or a modern iOS version.

Simple setup with Lightning connector

Initial configuration follows the standard iOS assistant and pairs with an Apple ID over Wi-Fi. Common issues include activation locks if the previous owner’s account remains linked and battery degradation on a refurbished unit. The supplied Lightning cable and AC adapter cover charging and syncing without extra accessories.
