Apple Smart Keyboard 10.5" Refurbished

This refurbished Apple Smart Keyboard is designed for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, third-generation iPad Air and ninth-generation iPad. It provides a full-size typing experience that doubles as a protective cover and a folding stand for the tablet.

Installation and Common Issues

The keyboard attaches via the Smart Connector so no charging or pairing is required. Alignment of the connector pins is the only step; debris on the contacts or a loose magnetic latch can prevent the iPad from recognising the accessory.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your tablet model matches the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, third-generation iPad Air or ninth-generation iPad before ordering. This unit does not fit other iPad sizes or generations and the iPad itself is not included.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Smart Connector is working after attaching the keyboard to my 10.5" iPad Pro?

Attach the keyboard via the Smart Connector on the 10.5" iPad Pro; the iPad should recognise it immediately with no pairing step. Open any text field and type — characters appear instantly if the connection is active.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The box contains the refurbished Smart Keyboard only. You must supply a compatible iPad — 10.5" iPad Pro, iPad Air 3rd Generation, or iPad 9th Generation — and an Apple Pencil if you want pen input.

Which version should I choose for a 10.5" iPad Pro versus an iPad Air 3rd Generation?

This single model MX3L2LL/A fits both the 10.5" iPad Pro and the iPad Air 3rd Generation, so no separate version choice is needed.
