Conduit fitting for hazardous locations

This vertical sealing fitting is built for Class I Division 1 and 2, Groups B, C, D and Class II Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G environments. It stops gases, vapours and flames from travelling between conduit sections. The aluminium body suits 1 in trade size IMC or RMC conduit runs.

Threaded connection limits

The fitting accepts 1 in FNPT on one end and 1 in MNPT on the other, giving a fixed overall length of 5 1/16 in. Only vertical orientation is rated, so horizontal or angled runs need a different fitting. No other conduit sizes or thread types are compatible.

Aluminium build and daily use

The silver-finished HAWA aluminium resists corrosion in harsh industrial settings. Threaded joints mean installation uses standard pipe tools without specialised crimpers. The 6.750 in length fits tight vertical channels while keeping the seal accessible for inspection.

Questions about this item

Which trade size matches a 1 inch conduit system?

This fitting is built for trade size 1 in and threads directly onto 1 in IMC or RMC conduit.

What does the 6.750 inch length mean when the fitting is installed vertically?

The overall length measures 5 1/16 in once assembled, giving the sealing chamber enough space to block gases, vapors or flames between conduit sections.

How do the FNPT and MNPT threads limit the connection options?

One end is female NPT and the other male NPT, so the fitting can only join a male-threaded conduit run to a female-threaded enclosure or coupling in a vertical orientation.
