Straight Nickel-Plated Brass Cord Connector

This Appleton Century Crofts 20SA2F0505 connector is a straight, nickel-plated brass fitting rated for a single cable. It accepts a cord diameter between .24 in and .46 in and threads into a 1/2 in MNPT box connection with a 13/16 in box-to-end length. The silver body carries no external strain relief and is not insulated.

Indoor wiring jobs that need a compact straight

Installers running one cable through a half-inch knockout will find the size and thread match convenient. Buyers who require an external strain-relief gland, an insulated throat or a different cord-diameter range should look at other fittings.

Cord diameter range .24 in to .46 in

The connector only seals cables within this window; anything thinner or thicker will not be gripped or sealed correctly. Confirm the cable outer diameter before ordering.

Questions about this item

Which cord diameter range should I choose for my cable?

Select the connector if your cable diameter falls between .24 in and .46 in, as this is the specified cord diameter range for a secure fit.

What does the 1.02in external strain relief length mean when installed?

The 1.02in external strain relief length provides that measured distance of cable support beyond the connector body to reduce bending stress at the termination point.

How does the 1/2 in MNPT box connection limit the installation options?

The 1/2 in MNPT thread requires a matching female threaded entry on the enclosure, so it only fits boxes or fittings with that specific thread size.
