The Appleton ELBY-100A is a 90-degree threaded elbow designed to join two lengths of 1-inch IMC or threaded rigid metal conduit. Its powder-coated aluminium body carries Class I Division 1 and 2, Class II Division 1 and 2, and Class III hazardous-location ratings. Electricians and maintenance crews use it to change direction in conduit runs inside classified areas.

Verify conduit type and trade size before ordering

Confirm that the existing raceway is 1-inch IMC or threaded RMC with female NPT threads on both ends. The fitting accepts only that trade size and thread form, so mismatched conduit or a different thread standard will not engage. No other conduit type or diameter is compatible with this elbow.

Powder coating adds corrosion resistance

The factory-applied powder finish protects the aluminium from moisture and chemical exposure common in hazardous environments. No separate sealant, gasket or mounting hardware is supplied, so installers must provide any required thread compound or locknuts.
