Application and purpose

The Appleton Century Crofts EXLK-136 is a flexible conduit coupling designed for hazardous locations. It connects 1/2 in IMC or RMC conduit runs where vibration or movement requires a flexible link. The bronze construction suits Class I, II and III Division 1 and 2 environments.

Who should use it and who should not

This coupling fits installations needing a 36 in flexible length with 1/2 in FNPT to MNPT threaded ends. It is not for buyers who need a different trade size, a rigid fitting, or a coupling rated for non-hazardous areas only.

Behaviour under sustained load

The bronze body resists corrosion while the multi-angle orientation absorbs continuous vibration and movement stress. The hazardous-location rating is maintained throughout extended service in the listed gas, dust and fibre groups.
