Iron Conduit Outlet Body

The Appleton Century Crofts GRX50 conduit outlet body is manufactured from iron for indoor and outdoor electrical installations. It accepts threaded IMC conduit with a 1/2 inch trade size and features a round back design. This component provides a secure junction point for pulling or splicing conductors in exposed or concealed raceway systems.

Sustained Environmental Exposure

The iron construction resists mechanical damage and corrosion when mounted in damp or exterior locations. Compatible covers such as the GRK-1 or GRK-50 series seal the opening against moisture and debris. The fitting maintains its structural integrity across temperature cycles without the deformation risks associated with non-metallic alternatives.

Installation Compatibility Check

Verify that your existing raceway uses 1/2 inch threaded IMC before ordering. Confirm the selected GRK-series cover matches the outlet body dimensions and the specific environmental rating required for the location. Ensure the mounting surface can support the iron fitting and that sufficient clearance exists for conductor bending radius.
