Appleton GUX75 Conduit Outlet Body

The Appleton GUX75 is a 19 cubic inch iron conduit outlet body designed for 3/4 inch trade size threaded IMC installations. Its X-style body provides multi-angle connection orientation for flexible routing in indoor or outdoor electrical systems. The gray triple coat epoxy finish protects against corrosion in demanding environments.

Suits 3/4in threaded IMC runs; not for other sizes

Electricians pulling conductors through 3/4 inch threaded IMC will find the 19 cu in capacity and included cover convenient for splices and direction changes. Installers using different trade sizes, non-threaded conduit types, or conduit bodies without an X-style multi-angle layout should select a different fitting.

19 cu in body capacity decides fit

The 19 cubic inch internal volume determines how many conductors can be safely housed under code fill limits. Verify the 75 trade size matches your conduit before ordering, as this dimension governs thread compatibility and overall dimensions.

Questions about this item

How is the GUX75 conduit outlet body installed, and which step is most often missed?

Thread the 3/4 in hubs onto threaded IMC, then torque each connection to the code-required value; the step most often missed is tightening the cover screws after the pull to maintain the triple-coat epoxy seal.

What maintenance or replacement will the GUX75 need over time?

Inspect the triple-coat epoxy finish annually for chips or corrosion; replace the cover gasket if it hardens or cracks to keep the indoor/outdoor rating intact.

What limit appears first on the GUX75 during a long, heavy cable pull?

The 19 cu in body capacity limits the number and size of conductors you can install before the pull becomes difficult or exceeds fill rules.
