A reducing bushing connects 3/4 in female to 1-1/2 in male threaded IMC conduit in hazardous locations
The Appleton RB150-75 is a threaded reducing bushing designed for IMC conduit systems. It connects a 3/4 in female NPT fitting to a 1 1/2 in male NPT fitting in hazardous locations. Electrical contractors use it to transition between conduit trade sizes while maintaining explosion-proof integrity.
The steel body weighs 0.35 lb and measures 13/16 in overall length. Electroplated finish resists corrosion in harsh industrial environments. No moving parts or active cooling means silent operation and zero power draw during normal use.
Certified for Class I Division 1 and 2 Groups A, B, C, D and Zone 1, 2 Groups IIA, IIB, IIC. Also rated Class II Division 1, 2 Groups E, F, G and Class III. Threaded female-to-male ends allow direct coupling without additional adapters. Not suited for non-threaded conduit or non-hazardous installations requiring simpler fittings.

Start the 1 1/2 in male thread by hand until it seats fully, then tighten with a strap wrench on the electroplated steel body; the 13/16 in overall length leaves little leverage, so avoid pipe wrenches that can crush the finish.
The electroplated steel resists corrosion in Class I, Division 1 and 2 areas; inspect the threads annually and replace the bushing if the plating shows white rust or pitting.
The short 13/16 in body means the 3/4 in FNPT threads engage fewer turns, so sustained pulling tension can strip the female threads before the conduit yields.
