Appleton Century Crofts TC125104 Hazardous Location Tray Cable Connector 1-1/4In

Hazardous Location Tray Cable Connector

This Appleton Century Crofts connector is built for hazardous-location tray cable installations. It accepts a single cord with a diameter range of .67 in to 1.04 in and terminates in a 1 1/4 in MNPT box connection. The body is copper-free aluminium with a silver finish and no external strain relief. It meets UL 2225, UL 514B and C 22.2 No. 30 standards.

Upgrade from standard cord grips

The jump is worth it when the installation falls under hazardous-location classifications that require the listed UL and CSA ratings. Ordinary cord grips lack the certified construction and copper-free aluminium body needed for those environments. This connector provides the compliant sealing and mechanical protection for a single tray cable run. It replaces non-rated fittings where code mandates the specific standards marked on the device.

Practical limits of the listed standards

The connector handles one cord only, with no provision for external strain relief beyond the gland. The straight style and 1 in box-to-end length fix the mounting geometry. Copper-free aluminium suits corrosive atmospheres but is not intended for unlisted cable types or diameters outside the .67 in to 1.04 in range. Compliance covers the standards cited; any additional site requirements fall outside this device.
