Cable Connector 1-1/2 in Straight Silver

The Appleton Century Crofts TC150127 is a straight cable connector designed for 1-1/2 inch MNPT box connections. It accepts cord diameters from 0.92 in to 1.27 in and is constructed from copper-free aluminium with a silver body finish. The connector meets UL 514B and UL 2225 standards as well as C 22.2 No. 30 for compliance.

Copper-free aluminium construction

The body uses copper-free aluminium to reduce corrosion risk in harsh environments. No external strain relief is fitted, so the gland relies on internal compression across the 0.92 in to 1.27 in cable range. The straight style keeps the cable run linear from the box connection, measuring 1 3/16 in from box face to connector end.

Suits single-cord runs needing a straight 1-1/2

This connector fits installations that require a single straight entry into a 1-1/2 inch threaded box without external strain relief. It is not suited for angled cable routing, multi-cord entries, or applications demanding insulated throats or colour-coded gland identification.

Questions about this item

Will the copper-free aluminium body need any corrosion protection after installation?

The connector body is made from copper-free aluminium with a silver finish, so no additional coating is required for normal indoor or dry outdoor use.

What cord diameter range can the gland actually grip before it bottoms out?

The gland accepts cords from .92 in to 1.27 in diameter; anything outside that range will not seal properly.

How hot does the connector body get when carrying full load continuously?

The aluminium body runs at ambient temperature because the connector carries no current; only the conductors inside generate heat.
