Genuine Frigidaire Range Surface Element Switch

This switch is a Frigidaire genuine OEM part numbered 318293827. It is designed to regulate the heat of a large surface element on a compatible range. The component operates at 240 volts and carries a current rating of 8.9 to 11.0 amps. It is sold as a new individual replacement part.

For owners repairing a Frigidaire range

This part suits owners needing to replace a faulty infinite switch controlling a single large burner rated between 2136 and 2640 watts. It is not for ranges using a different switch design or for small surface elements requiring a lower wattage control. Buyers needing a switch for a dual element or a different voltage should look elsewhere.

Handles large elements rated 2136 to 2640 watts

The switch comfortably manages a large element drawing 8.9 to 11.0 amps at 240 volts. It runs out of capacity if the element wattage exceeds 2640 watts or if the supply voltage differs from 240 volts. It provides no control for oven bake or broil elements.
