Genuine Friedrich Replacement Power Cord

This six-foot AC power cord carries part number 60500394 and is manufactured by Appliance Factory Parts as a genuine Friedrich component. It replaces the original supply lead on compatible Friedrich room air conditioners and heat pumps. The cord restores power connection when the factory cable is damaged or missing. Buyers who need a longer reach or a different plug configuration will not be served by this item.

Direct-Fit Design for Listed Models

The cord matches the original equipment specification for 37 Friedrich models including SM21L30-D, KM18L30-C and SM24L30-C, plus six Haier models such as HPYD13XCNR and HPY12XCN. No adapters or wiring modifications are required because the connector and gauge replicate the factory part. Installers simply unplug the old lead and fit this one in its place. The accessory bundle contains only the cord itself.

Simple Plug-In Installation

Installation consists of routing the six-foot length to the nearest outlet and inserting the moulded plug. The fixed length limits placement flexibility, so the unit must sit within that radius of a suitable receptacle. The most common issue is attempting to fit the cord on a model not listed above, which results in a connector mismatch. Verifying the exact model number before purchase avoids that problem.

Questions about this item

Will the plug or insulation on this 6 ft Friedrich cord need periodic replacement?

The cord is a genuine Friedrich part built to original specifications; inspect the plug and jacket annually and replace the assembly if you see cracking, discoloration or loose blades.

What is the first limit reached when this cord powers a Friedrich SM24L30-C continuously?

The cord is rated for the appliance's factory amperage; the first limit is the unit's own compressor duty cycle, not the cord itself.

Does the cord run warm or add noticeable heat when the Haier HPYD14XCN runs all day?

A properly seated genuine cord carries the rated load with minimal temperature rise; any warmth felt at the plug indicates a loose outlet, not the cord.
