Questions about this item

Will the plug or cord insulation on the 69700450 need periodic replacement?

The cord is a single moulded assembly; no user-serviceable parts inside, so it stays in service until the outer jacket shows cracking or the plug blades become loose.

What stops the 69700450 from carrying full current to a 12 k BTU unit continuously?

The cord is rated for the Friedrich PDH12K3SG and PDE12K3SG models, so its conductors and plug are sized for the maximum draw of those 12 k units.

Does the 69700450 run warm or hum when a PDH09K3SG operates all day?

Under normal load the cord remains at ambient temperature and produces no audible noise; only a damaged or loose connection would generate heat or buzz.
