Secure 16GB USB-C flash drive

The Apricorn SecureKey 3NXC provides 16GB of portable storage with 256-bit AES XTS hardware encryption. It connects via USB Type-C and is designed for users who need data protection without installing software on the host device.

Replaces unencrypted USB sticks

This drive upgrades from standard flash drives that leave files exposed if lost or stolen. The jump is worth it when regulatory compliance or personal privacy requires hardware-based encryption that works immediately on any system with a USB-C port.

Limited by USB-C host availability

Encryption and decryption occur entirely on the drive, so performance depends on the host controller rather than an internal processor. Buyers without USB-C ports on their target machines cannot use the drive without a separate adapter, which is not included.

Plug the drive into a USB-C port, then enter a personal PIN using the built-in keypad to unlock the hardware encryption before accessing the 16GB storage.

Will the 256-bit AES XTS hardware encryption ever need a firmware update or battery replacement?

The encryption runs entirely in the drive's controller with no battery, so there is no firmware to update and no power source to replace over the life of the 16GB unit.
