Universal Fit for 13 to 15.6 Inch Keyboards

The Archelon protector is a thin TPU skin that covers laptop keyboards from 13 to 15.6 inches. It shields against dust, spills and everyday wear while letting backlight shine through. Buyers who need a precise moulded fit for a single model or a rigid hard-shell guard will not find that here. The stretchable sheet is trimmed or aligned by the user during installation.

Silent Typing and Easy Cleaning

At .01 inch thick the film adds almost no height and dampens keystroke noise without changing key travel. The material is waterproof and dustproof so liquid beads on the surface and debris cannot settle between switches. It can be removed, washed with water, dried with a towel and reapplied repeatedly. Users who want active cooling vents covered or a textured anti-glare finish are not served by this design.

Durable Under Daily Load

The engineering-grade TPU stays flexible and non-slip during long typing sessions and resists permanent deformation from repeated stretching. It remains non-toxic and stable across normal indoor temperatures. Buyers who expose a laptop to extreme heat, industrial solvents or sharp objects will exceed the material limits. The cover continues to protect the keyboard as long as the sheet stays intact.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the 0.01 inch thick protector onto a 15.6 inch keyboard without trapping air bubbles?

Align the cover with the top edge first, then lower it slowly while smoothing outward with a flat hand; the stretchable TPU conforms to key shapes and releases trapped air if you work from centre to corners.

Can the TPU skin be washed and reused, and how many cleaning cycles will it survive?

Yes — rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry with a towel and reapply; the engineering-grade TPU stays flexible and non-slip through repeated wash cycles without degrading.

At what point does the 0.01 inch film start to impede backlight visibility during long typing sessions?

The ultra-thin layer lets keyboard light penetrate easily, so brightness loss is negligible even after hours of continuous use; only heavy soiling on the surface would dim the glow.
