Clear 16x20 inch acrylic sheet filters 98% of UV light to protect artwork and photographs

  • Lightweight acrylic sheet simplifies handling and mounting
  • Shatter-resistant construction protects artwork from impact damage
  • 98% UV filtration preserves colours and prevents fading
  • 1/8 inch thickness balances rigidity with low weight
  • Rounded edges give a clean, finished appearance

Purpose and audience

The Archival Methods UF5 Plexiglas 16x20 is a single clear acrylic sheet sized 16 by 20 inches. It is made for photographers, artists and framers who need lightweight glazing that resists breakage during handling or transport.

UV protection limit

The sheet filters out 98 percent of ultraviolet rays, slowing fading of prints and artwork displayed under normal indoor light. It does not block all UV energy, so very long exposure to strong direct sunlight will still cause gradual colour shift over time.

Capacity and headroom

At 1/8 inch thick the panel is rigid enough for standard frames up to 16 by 20 inches without bowing. Larger openings or frames without adequate rabbet support may allow the sheet to flex, so it is not suited for oversized glazing jobs.
