13-Inch Quilted Oven Mitts for Home Cooks

This pair of grey quilted oven mitts reaches 13 inches to shield hands and forearms during everyday kitchen tasks. The cotton-blend fabric provides a non-slip grip on hot cookware. They suit home cooks who need reliable heat protection for baking, roasting and stovetop work without bulky professional gear.

Upgrade from Thin Pot Holders for High-Heat Tasks

These mitts replace standard pot holders when handling dishes up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The jump is worth it whenever you move heavy roasting pans, pull trays from a blazing oven or tend a barbecue where radiant heat exceeds what thin cloth can block. The quilted lining adds insulation that single-layer pads lack.

Flame Resistance Limited to 10 Seconds of Direct

The flame-retardant coating withstands direct flame for 10 seconds before ignition, then self-extinguishes once the mitt is withdrawn. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth is the only recommended care; machine washing degrades the coating and reduces protection. They are not designed for prolonged fire exposure or immersion in hot liquids.

Questions about this item

How long are the 13 inch mitts from cuff to fingertip?

Each mitt measures 13 inches in length, covering the hand and lower forearm for splash and heat protection.

What is the correct way to clean them without losing the flame-retardant coating?

Spot clean only with a damp cloth; machine washing or soaking will reduce the flame-resistant finish.

After repeated high-heat use, what part of the mitts will need replacement first?

The quilted cotton-blend lining and flame-retardant coating degrade over time, so the entire pair should be replaced when heat protection drops.
