KVM Extender Module
This Raritan Dominion KX II Computer Interface Module connects a server's keyboard, video and mouse ports to a KVM-over-IP switch. It uses standard UTP cabling such as Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 to bridge distances up to 150 feet between the server and the switch.
Suited for remote server management
The module is built for administrators who need to operate servers from a central console across a machine room or data centre. It is not intended for direct local console use or for extending desktop peripherals beyond the supported UTP distance.
Sustained operation with keep-alive emulation
The CIM provides continuous keyboard and mouse emulation so the attached server never loses input focus during long remote sessions. Its compact 29.0 x 2.0 x 9.0 cm form factor and 0.1 kg weight allow dense deployment alongside rack-mounted equipment.

Questions about this item
What server ports must be available for the CIM to connect?
The module plugs into the server's KVM ports, so those must be free.
Can the CIM stay connected if I move the KVM-over-IP switch further away?
Yes, it supports up to 150 feet of separation using UTP Cat5/5e/6 cabling.
How do I confirm the module is keeping the server's keyboard and mouse alive?
The server will report a keyboard and mouse as present even when no user is logged into the KVM session.
