ARCTIC

ARCTIC Cat6 Plenum 23AWG Green 1000ft 550MHz 2 in 1 accessory

SKU CH-5MPM-A4HCV

Plenum-rated Cat6 cable with solid copper conductors supports 10 Gigabit up to 165 feet and PoE++ to 100 W, supplied in a 1000-foot tangle-free box

  • Supports 10 Gigabit speeds up to 165 feet
  • 550 MHz bandwidth tested for high-performance networks
  • Solid bare copper conductors ensure reliable signal strength
  • Plenum-rated jacket meets fire safety for air spaces
  • Tangle-free pull box simplifies 1000-foot cable deployment

Cable Type and Intended Use

This plenum-rated Cat6 cable uses 23AWG solid bare copper conductors in a green jacket. It is supplied in a 1000ft easy-pull box and tested to 550MHz bandwidth. The CMP rating allows installation in air-handling spaces above suspended ceilings or below raised floors.

Suitable Installations and Limitations

The cable supports PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ (4PPoE) up to 100W for powering devices such as access points and cameras. It is not suited for outdoor or direct-burial runs, nor for shielded environments that require F/UTP or S/FTP construction.

Deciding Specification

The critical figure is the plenum (CMP) fire-safety rating combined with 23AWG solid copper conductors. Only choose this reel when building codes demand a plenum jacket and the installer needs unshielded twisted-pair cable in a single 1000ft pull box.

Questions about this item

How do I pull this Cat6 plenum cable from the box without kinking the 23 AWG solid copper pairs?

Pull steadily from the easy-pull box, keep bends gentle, and do not exceed the 328-foot limit for 1 GbE or 165-foot limit for 10 GbE runs.

Will the green CMP jacket or 23 AWG conductors need replacement after a few years in a plenum space?

The plenum-rated jacket is built for permanent installation in air-handling spaces; solid bare copper conductors do not degrade under normal indoor conditions.

At what distance does 10 GbE performance drop off on this 550 MHz tested cable?

10 GbE is supported up to 165 feet; beyond that, speed falls back to 5 GbE or 1 GbE depending on the installation environment.
