80 mm pressure-optimised case fan

The ARCTIC P8 PWM PST CO is an 80 mm case fan built for continuous operation. Its dual ball bearing is rated for five times the lifespan of regular bearings. The non-LED black frame suits builds that prefer no lighting. PWM Sharing Technology lets multiple fans run synchronously from one header.

PWM control limits and connector layout

Speed is regulated between 200 and 3.000 RPM through a standard 4-pin PWM connector. A matching 4-pin socket on the fan housing allows daisy-chaining additional fans without extra motherboard headers. At maximum speed the fan moves 23.4 CFM while producing 0.3 Sone. The motor cannot exceed the stated RPM ceiling.

25 mm thickness decides fit

The frame measures 25 mm thick, so clearance at the mounting location must accommodate that depth. Builders using slim radiators, compact heatsinks or tight side-panel vents should verify the available space before ordering. No thinner variant of this model exists.

Questions about this item

Which version of the P8 PWM PST CO 80 mm fan should I pick for a radiator or heatsink?

The single ACFAN00151A model is pressure-optimised and built for continuous operation on heatsinks, radiators or partly covered vents, so no alternative version is needed.

What does the 23.4 CFM airflow figure mean when the fan is running at full speed in my case?

At the maximum 3.000 RPM the fan moves 23.4 CFM, delivering strong static pressure through dense fins while the dual ball bearing keeps noise at 0.3 Sone.

How does the 4-pin PWM connector and PST socket affect speed control in practice?

The 4-pin connector plus 4-pin socket lets the motherboard drive the fan from 200 to 3.000 RPM and daisy-chain multiple fans so they run in sync via PWM Sharing Technology.
