ARCTIC

ARCTIC F12 PWM PST 120 mm Case Fan Black

SKU CH-8KDH-4T8T7

A 120 mm PWM case fan delivering up to 53 CFM at 1350 RPM with PST sharing technology and a fluid dynamic bearing for quiet operation

  • Quiet cooling with a noise level of 0.3 Sone at full speed
  • Precise speed control via 4-pin PWM from 230 to 1350 RPM
  • PWM Sharing Technology lets multiple fans follow one motherboard signal
  • High airflow of 53 CFM or 90.1 m³/h at 1350 RPM
  • Fluid Dynamic Bearing with oil capsule for long service life

120 mm PWM Case Fan

The ARCTIC F12 PWM PST is a 120 mm case fan built for PC builders who need reliable airflow with quiet operation. It suits system integrators and enthusiasts assembling or upgrading desktop computers where motherboard-controlled cooling is required. The four-pin PWM connector enables automatic speed regulation based on system temperature.

PWM Sharing Technology

The single specification that decides compatibility is PWM Sharing Technology (PST), which lets multiple fans follow one motherboard PWM signal. This means all connected fans ramp up or down together without extra headers or controllers. Builders without PST support on their board cannot use this daisy-chain control method.

Airflow and Noise Headroom

At 1350 RPM the fan delivers 53 CFM (90.1 m³/h) with a noise level of 0.3 Sone, providing strong cooling for typical mid-tower workloads. Speed drops to 230 RPM for near-silent idle operation, but maximum airflow is fixed at the rated RPM so heavily overclocked builds may need higher-static-pressure alternatives.

Questions about this item

What does 53 CFM airflow mean for my case temperatures?

At full speed the fan moves 53 CFM of air, providing strong intake or exhaust flow that keeps internal components cool under load.

How does the 4-pin PWM connection control the fan?

The 4-pin PWM header lets the motherboard vary speed precisely between 230 and 1350 RPM, so the fan runs only as fast as needed for the current temperature.

Will this 120 mm fan fit my standard case mount?

Yes, the 120 mm frame matches the common 120 mm mounting holes found on most PC cases and radiators.
