Black 120 mm case fan with temperature sensor on 40 cm cable

ARCTIC

ARCTIC F12 TC 120 mm Case Fan accessory

SKU CH-0WEZ-1B5CS

A 120 mm case fan with a 40 cm temperature sensor cable keeps internal heat below 38 °C while running at 300-1350 RPM for 53 CFM airflow at 0.3 Sone

  • Temperature sensor on 40 cm cable keeps case below 38 °C
  • Fluid dynamic bearing with oil capsule gives long service life
  • Blade design delivers 53 CFM airflow at low 0.3 Sone noise
  • Fan speed adjusts 300 to 1350 RPM for ideal cooling
  • Mount to exhaust heat or intake cool air as needed

120 mm Case Fan with Temperature Control

The ARCTIC F12 TC is a 120 mm case fan that includes a temperature sensor on a 40 cm cable. The sensor can be positioned in warm areas of the chassis to keep internal temperatures at or below 38 °C. It uses a 3-pin connection and a fluid dynamic bearing with an oil capsule for long service life.

Suited for builds needing sensor-based cooling

This fan suits builders who want automatic speed adjustment based on a remote temperature probe rather than a motherboard header curve. It is not for systems that require 4-pin PWM control for precise software management. Buyers needing higher static pressure for dense radiators should look at alternative designs.

300-1350 RPM speed range

The fan operates between 300 and 1350 RPM, delivering 53 CFM or 90.1 m³/h of airflow at full speed. Noise at maximum speed is rated at 0.3 Sone. This speed range determines whether the unit can meet the thermal and acoustic targets of a specific build.

Questions about this item

How do I install the temperature sensor and which way should the fan face?

Mount the sensor on the 40 cm cable in the warmest spot inside the case; then orient the fan to either exhaust hot air out or pull cool air in depending on your airflow plan.

What part will need replacement first and how long does the bearing last?

The fluid dynamic bearing includes an oil capsule to prevent leakage, giving it a significantly longer service life than sleeve bearings.

At what speed does the fan become audible and what is the maximum airflow?

Noise is rated at 0.3 Sone at the top speed of 1350 RPM, where airflow reaches 53 CFM or 90.1 m³/h.
