Black 120 mm case fan with temperature sensor on 40 cm cable

ARCTIC

ARCTIC F12 TC 120 mm Temperature Control Case Fan Black

SKU CH-GTNK-NK8P9

A 120 mm case fan with a 40 cm temperature sensor cable adjusts speed from 300 to 1350 RPM to keep components below 38 °C while running as low as 0.3 Sone

  • Temperature sensor on 40 cm cable caps case heat at 38 °C
  • Fluid dynamic bearing with oil capsule gives long service life and quiet running
  • Blade design maximises airflow while minimising noise to 0.3 Sone
  • 300–1350 RPM range delivers 53 CFM or 90.1 m³/h when needed
  • Mount as intake or exhaust for flexible two-way installation

120 mm case fan with temperature control

The ARCTIC F12 TC is a 120 mm case fan that adjusts its speed between 300 and 1350 RPM based on a remote sensor. It is suited for builders who want automatic cooling that stays quiet until the system warms up. The fluid dynamic bearing with an oil capsule is designed for long service life and low noise.

Check your motherboard header and sensor placement

This fan connects with a standard 3-pin plug, so confirm your board has an available 3-pin fan header. The temperature sensor sits on a 40 cm cable and must be positioned in a warm area of the case to trigger speed changes. Ensure the cable can reach the chosen spot without strain.

Blade design and two-way mounting for daily use

The impeller is shaped to deliver 53 CFM of airflow at 1350 RPM while keeping noise to 0.3 Sone. Blades can be oriented to exhaust warm air or intake cool air, letting you match the fan to your case layout. The bearing design avoids lubricant leakage, so the fan stays quiet over time.

Questions about this item

What does the 40 cm temperature sensor cable let me do?

The sensor can be positioned in the warmest part of the case so the fan only speeds up when that spot exceeds 38 °C, keeping noise at 0.3 Sone until extra cooling is needed.

How do I choose between running the fan at 300 RPM or 1350 RPM?

You do not pick a fixed speed; the 3-pin temperature control automatically varies the motor between 300 and 1350 RPM based on the sensor reading.

What does the 53 CFM airflow figure mean once the fan is installed?

At the maximum 1350 RPM the fan moves 53 CFM (90.1 m³/h), enough to push hot air out or pull cool air in through a standard 120 mm mount.
