  • 5 mm/H2O static pressure and 32.67 m³/h airflow for radiator and case use
  • Fits 1U servers, routers, switches, NAS, DVRs, Mini PCs, HTPCs, drive enclosures and 3D printers
  • Standard 4-pin connector works with 2-pin and 3-pin headers, 40 cm cable for flexible placement

Compact Server Fan

The ARCTIC S4028-15K is a 40x40x28 mm 12 V PWM fan that spins between 1400 and 15000 RPM. It uses a dual ball-bearing impeller rated for high durability and resistance to heat and dust. The standard 4-pin connector works with 2-pin and 3-pin headers, and a 40 cm cable aids placement in tight enclosures.

Ideal for Dense Cooling

This unit suits 1U server cases, routers, switches, NAS boxes, DVRs, Mini PCs, HTPCs, drive enclosures and 3D printers. It is not intended for systems that require larger frame sizes or lower maximum speeds than the 15000 RPM ceiling. Builders needing quieter low-RPM operation should consider alternatives.

Pressure and Flow Decide Fit

A static pressure of 26.5 mm/H2O and peak airflow of 32.67 m³/h determine whether the fan can cool a given radiator or chassis. Match these figures to the thermal load and restriction of the target device before purchase.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 15000 RPM fan get when running continuously?

The S4028-15K reaches a maximum static pressure of 26.5 mm/H2O and airflow of 32.67 m³/h at 15000 RPM, with dual ball bearings designed for durability under sustained heat and dust exposure.

What connector and voltage does the 4-pin PWM fan require to operate?

It uses a standard 4-pin PWM connector at 12 V DC and is backward compatible with 2-pin or 3-pin headers, with a 40 cm cable for flexible positioning.

Will this 40x40x28 mm server fan fit in my older 1U rack or router chassis?

The 40 mm square frame and 28 mm thickness are designed for 1U server cases and serve as direct replacements for fans in routers, switches, NAS units, DVRs and similar legacy equipment.
