Black 80 mm square PWM fan 38 mm thick with 4-pin connector

ARCTIC

ARCTIC S8038-7K 80x80x38 mm PWM Fan 500-7000 RPM

SKU CH-78G7-ZVHCN

An 80 mm PWM fan with dual ball bearings, 500-7000 RPM range, 25 mmH₂O static pressure and 118.93 m³/h airflow for 2U servers or radiators

  • Dual ball bearings extend lifespan and resist heat and dust
  • PWM speed range 500-7000 RPM balances cooling and noise
  • 25 mmH₂O static pressure suits radiator and case use
  • Fits 2U server cases for CPU, radiator or system upgrade
  • 4-pin connector works on 2-pin and 3-pin headers with 30 cm cable

Dual Ball Bearing PWM Fan

The ARCTIC S8038-7K is an 80x80x38 mm cooling fan designed for systems that require a high-speed 4-pin PWM solution. It operates on 12 V DC and uses two ball bearings to secure the impeller, increasing durability and resistance to heat and dust. The 30 cm cable provides flexible routing inside compact enclosures.

Radiator and Case Upgrade

This fan replaces standard 80 mm units in 2U server cases, CPU coolers or radiator setups where higher static pressure is needed. With a maximum airflow of 118.93 m³/h and 25 mmHO static pressure, the jump is worthwhile when existing fans cannot maintain thermal headroom under load. Speed regulation via PWM or voltage spans 500-7000 RPM for precise control.

Builders Needing 80 mm High Pressure

The S8038-7K suits integrators upgrading 2U servers or liquid-cooling radiators that demand strong static pressure in an 80 mm frame. It also fits case ventilation roles where a 4-pin header is available. Builders requiring larger frame sizes, lower maximum RPM or different mounting patterns should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What are the exact mounting dimensions of the S8038-7K fan?

The fan measures 80x80x38 mm, matching the standard 80 mm square footprint with a 38 mm thickness, so it fits any 80 mm mounting holes.

How do I connect the 4-pin PWM connector to a 3-pin motherboard header?

Plug the 4-pin connector onto the 3-pin header aligning the key tab; the fan will run at full speed without PWM control.

When should the ball bearings in the S8038-7K be replaced?

The dual ball bearings are sealed for life and rated for continuous operation; no scheduled replacement is required.
