Premium Silver Compound
Arctic Silver 5 is a high density thermal grease formulated with micronized silver and enhanced ceramic particles for modern high power CPUs and performance heatsinks or water cooling solutions. The 12 g tube provides ample material for multiple applications.
Thermal Conductivity
Over 88% thermally conductive filler by weight maximises particle to particle contact and thermal transfer between surfaces. The controlled triple phase viscosity suspension uses advanced polysynthetic oils without silicone for stable performance across bond lines.
Application Benefits
99.9% pure silver in three unique shapes and sizes ensures consistent coverage and long term stability without drying out. Sub micron zinc oxide, aluminium oxide and boron nitride particles further enhance the compound’s effectiveness for demanding cooling setups.

Questions about this item
How do I apply the 12 g tube of Arctic Silver 5 and what step do people usually get wrong?
Squeeze a small pea-sized dot onto the centre of the CPU heat spreader, then mount the cooler straight down without twisting; the most common mistake is spreading the paste manually, which traps air bubbles and reduces contact between the 99.9 % silver particles and the surfaces.
Will the compound dry out or need replacement after a few years of use?
The polysynthetic oil carrier is designed for long-term stability and the 88 % filler loading resists pump-out, so the paste typically remains effective for many years without re-application unless the cooler is removed.
What thermal limit appears first when the CPU runs at full load for extended periods?
The limiting factor is the thermal resistance of the bond line itself; with over 88 % conductive filler by weight the compound minimises that resistance, so the CPU die temperature — not the paste — becomes the first ceiling under sustained load.
