Dual-drive USB adapter for SATA and NVMe SSDs
This adapter lets you connect one 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD or one M.2 SATA or NVMe SSD to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. It is aimed at technicians and power users who need fast, tool-less access to bare drives for cloning, recovery or temporary storage expansion.
Check host port and drive compatibility before
Your computer must provide a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection running at 10 Gbps to reach the quoted transfer ceiling; slower ports will work but limit throughput. Only one drive can be installed at a time, so the adapter cannot bridge a 2.5-inch drive and an M.2 drive simultaneously. Verify that your M.2 module uses a SATA or NVMe interface, as other keyings are not supported.
Thermals noise and power in normal use
The open tool-less design relies on passive convection, so drive temperature will follow the workload and ambient conditions without active cooling. No fan is present, meaning acoustic output is limited to the drive itself. Power is drawn entirely from the USB bus, so the host port must supply enough current for the attached SSD or HDD during sustained transfers.

Questions about this item
Does the adapter include both the 2.5 inch SATA and M.2 NVMe cables or must they be purchased separately?
The adapter has built-in connectors for one 2.5 inch SATA drive or one M.2 SATA or NVMe drive; no extra cables are required.
Should I choose the 2.5 inch SATA slot or the M.2 slot for a 10 Gbps NVMe drive?
Use the M.2 slot for an NVMe SSD; the 2.5 inch slot only accepts SATA drives and the two slots cannot be used at the same time.
Will I see the full 10 Gbps speed when the adapter is plugged into a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port?
The 10 Gbps headline rate is the interface maximum; actual throughput depends on the installed drive and the host controller.
