HDMI to SDI Converter for Professional Video
The ARENTI converter connects an HDMI source to an SDI display and supports 1080p resolution. It handles SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI standards for cameras, home theatre systems or broadcast equipment. The unit is supplied new and requires no software drivers.
Signal Stability Over Long Cable Runs
The converter maintains SMPTE 259M-C at 270 Mbit/s for 480i and 576i signals up to 300 metres. It carries SMPTE 292M at 1.485 Gbit/s or 1.485/1.001 Gbit/s for 720p and 1080i up to 200 metres. For 1080p it uses SMPTE 424M/425M-AB at 2.970 Gbit/s or 2.970/1.001 Gbit/s up to 100 metres.
Simple Inline Installation
Connect the HDMI source to the input and the SDI display to the output; the converter auto-detects the signal format. No external power supply is mentioned in the data, so verify whether your HDMI port provides sufficient current. Buyers needing 4K conversion or dual-link SDI will find this unit does not support those formats.

Questions about this item
Does the converter generate noticeable heat or fan noise when converting 1080p to 3G-SDI all day?
The unit is a passive adapter with no fan or active cooling; it draws minimal power from the HDMI source and runs silently during continuous 3G-SDI conversion.
What cables or power supply do I need to connect my camera's HDMI output to an SDI monitor?
You need an HDMI cable from the camera and a standard SDI cable to the monitor; no external power adapter is required because the converter is powered through the HDMI link.
Will my older SD-SDI recorder at 480i accept the signal from this converter?
Yes, the converter down-converts 480i or 576i sources to SD-SDI (SMPTE 259M-C) at 270 Mbit/s, compatible with legacy SD-SDI equipment.
