Arista 48-port 100/1000 switch with 4x 10GbE SFP+

The Arista DCS-7048T-A is a 1 RU fixed-configuration switch that delivers 48 RJ-45 ports operating at 100 or 1000 Mbps plus four SFP+ uplinks capable of 1 or 10 Gbps. It ships with dual 460 W hot-swappable AC power supplies and four hot-swappable fans, both using rear-to-front airflow. Zero-touch provisioning simplifies initial deployment in campus or data-centre racks.

Who this suits and who it does not

Network teams that need dense copper access with a small number of 10 GbE uplinks will find the port mix convenient. Buyers requiring Power over Ethernet on the access ports, more than four uplinks, uplink speeds beyond 10 GbE, or front-to-rear cooling should consider other options.

Deciding specification — rear-to-front airflow

The switch uses rear-to-front airflow for both power supplies and fans, so the rack must supply cool air at the rear and exhaust heat at the front. Confirm the cabinet airflow design matches this direction before ordering.
