48-port 25GbE SFP28 switch with six 100GbE QSFP28 uplinks, rear-to-front airflow and dual 747W power supplies
The Arista DCS-7280SR2A-48YC6-R is a 1 RU network switch built for high-density leaf and spine deployments. It provides 48 ports of 25GbE SFP28 connectivity and six 100GbE QSFP28 uplinks. The chassis includes two 747 W hot-swappable AC power supplies and four hot-swappable fans, all configured for rear-to-front airflow. Arista EOS runs on the platform and supports the AlgoMatch feature for flexible packet matching.
Network teams running 25GbE to servers and 100GbE between racks will match the port ratio exactly. The rear-to-front airflow design fits standard hot-aisle or cold-aisle layouts with the supplied fans and power supplies. Buyers who need front-to-rear cooling should look at a different airflow variant. Operators requiring built-in rack rails must source them separately because none are included with the switch.
The cooling direction and power subsystem are fixed at the factory and cannot be changed after purchase. Confirm that your rack airflow plan and power distribution match rear-to-front intake before ordering. The two included 747 W units provide redundancy, but the total available budget depends on your facility voltage and circuit design.

The unit occupies 1 RU of rack height; rack mounts are not included and must be sourced separately.
Both power supplies and all four fans are hot-swappable modules that slide into the rear; the common error is inserting only one power supply and leaving the second bay empty, which removes redundancy.
The four fans and two 747 W power supplies are field-replaceable; replace a fan when its status LED shows a fault or airflow drops, and replace a power supply if it reports a failure or you lose redundancy.
