ARRIS Refurbished
A certified refurbished DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem with 32 download and 8 upload channels, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and backward compatibility with DOCSIS 3.0
The ARRIS SB8200 is a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem with 32 download and 8 upload channels. It delivers up to 10 Gbps downstream when your provider enables DOCSIS 3.1, and falls back to 1.4 Gbps on DOCSIS 3.0 plans. Certified refurbished by ARRIS, it suits households that want to stop paying monthly rental fees for a provider-supplied box.
Maximum throughput depends entirely on the service tier you subscribe to. The modem can bond 32 downstream and 8 upstream channels, but the cable company provisions the actual speed cap. IPv4 and IPv6 are both supported, and the two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow two separate home networks, though the second port may stay inactive unless the ISP enables it.
Confirm that your ISP is Comcast Xfinity, Cox, or Spectrum; the modem is not compatible with Verizon, AT&T, or CenturyLink. Verify the plan includes DOCSIS 3.1 if you want the 10 Gbps ceiling, otherwise it will run at DOCSIS 3.0 rates. Voice bundles require extra equipment from the provider, and the unit provides no Wi-Fi, so a separate router is needed for wireless devices.

The SB8200 is a single model that supports DOCSIS 3.1 with 32 downstream and 8 upstream channels, so there is no separate version to select for a 3.1 plan.
It represents the maximum theoretical throughput the modem can deliver on a DOCSIS 3.1 connection; actual speeds depend on your provider's plan and network conditions.
The modem uses DOCSIS 3.1 with 32×8 channel bonding, enabling up to 10 Gbps downstream and 1.4 Gbps upstream, limited by the provider's active configuration.
