DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and AC2350 Wi-Fi 5 router with four Gigabit ports, approved for Xfinity Internet & Voice plans up to 800 Mbps
The ARRIS SURFboard SVG2482AC combines a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem with a Wi-Fi 5 router rated AC2350. It is built for households using Xfinity Internet & Voice service who want to replace rented equipment with a single owned device. The unit supports cable internet speed plans up to 800 Mbps and includes two telephony ports for digital voice service.
The DOCSIS 3.0 interface caps the maximum provisioned internet speed at 800 Mbps, so plans above that level cannot be fully utilised. Wireless performance reaches up to 1.7 Gbps (1,750 Mbps) over Wi-Fi 5, while the four 1-Gigabit Ethernet ports each handle up to 1 Gbps wired throughput. MoCA technology and a dedicated wireless guest network are not supported on this model.
Configuration is handled through the SURFboard Central App, which guides activation, Wi-Fi customisation and device management. The app also provides real-time network monitoring and parental controls such as time limits and internet pausing. Preset Wi-Fi security is enabled out of the box, and the vertical chassis uses fanless cooling for silent operation in living spaces.

The modem is approved for Xfinity speed plans up to 800 Mbps, so a higher tier would exceed its rated capability.
AC2350 is a combined theoretical ceiling; the hardware delivers Wi-Fi 5 speeds up to 1.7 Gbps (1750 Mbps) on the 5 GHz radio.
It uses DOCSIS 3.0, which caps the cable link at the provider-approved 800 Mbps plan maximum.
