ArsenalPC ASUS ROG GR701 gaming desktop

This desktop is built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-core processor and a Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory. It targets enthusiasts who want a ready-to-play Windows 11 system for high-refresh gaming and heavy multitasking. The 64GB DDR5 memory and combined 1TB NVMe plus 2TB HDD storage handle large libraries and creative workloads.

360mm liquid cooler and sustained thermal headroom

A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 4.3GHz 16-core CPU stable during extended sessions rather than just brief bursts. The 850W power supply delivers consistent power to the GPU and CPU under continuous load. Liquid cooling reduces thermal throttling so clocks remain high across long rendering or gaming marathons.

ASUS ROG GR701 chassis with WiFi and RGB

The GR701 case integrates WiFi connectivity and customisable RGB lighting for daily convenience and aesthetics. Four DDR5 slots are populated, leaving no free slots for future memory upgrades without replacing modules. Storage uses one NVMe drive and a 2TB SATA III hard drive, so adding more NVMe devices depends on unseen motherboard headers.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 360mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 9 9950X at 4.3GHz under all-day load?

The 360mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X at its 4.3GHz base frequency during extended sessions, keeping thermals in check without excessive fan noise.

What must I already own to start using this GR701 desktop right away?

Only a monitor, keyboard and mouse are required; Windows 11 Home is pre-installed and the system ships tested with WiFi, so no extra components or licences are needed.

Can I keep my older SATA hard drives and plug them into this GR701 alongside the 2TB HDD?

Yes, the motherboard provides additional SATA III ports, so existing SATA drives can be added beside the installed 2TB HDD and 1TB NVMe SSD.
