Intel Core Ultra 9 285K desktop

This gaming desktop is built around the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K with 24 cores at 5.7GHz. It targets players and creators who want a pre-assembled system that runs modern titles and heavy workloads without manual tuning. The 64GB DDR5 memory and dual-storage layout support multitasking and large project files. Liquid cooling keeps the processor stable during extended sessions.

PCI Express x16 graphics interface

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti connects through a PCI Express x16 slot and carries 16GB GDDR7 memory. That bus width caps the peak throughput between GPU and CPU, so extremely bandwidth-heavy compute tasks may not scale beyond the link limit. The 850W power supply delivers enough headroom for the installed parts, but builders who want a second card or significantly higher draw would need a larger unit.

360mm liquid cooler upgrade

A 360mm liquid cooler replaces a standard air tower and lowers CPU temperatures under sustained load. The jump is worth it when the 285K runs near its 5.7GHz boost for long renders or competitive gaming marathons. Builders who only browse or play lighter titles will see less benefit from the larger radiator. The system ships with Windows 11 Home installed and tested.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the 2TB NVMe SSD and the 2TB HDD for my games and files?

Use the NVMe SSD for the operating system and the games you play most often because it loads them fastest, and keep the 2TB HDD for larger media libraries and backups where top speed matters less.

What does the 5.7GHz figure on the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K mean when I am actually gaming?

That is the maximum turbo frequency the 24-core processor can reach on active cores during heavy loads, so single-threaded game logic gets the highest possible clock speed while thermal headroom allows.

The RTX 5070 Ti uses a PCI Express x16 slot — what does that cap in practice?

The x16 link gives the graphics card the full bandwidth the platform provides, so the 16GB GDDR7 frame buffer and GPU compute are never limited by the slot itself.
