Ready-to-play desktop for high-end gaming

This ArsenalPC system pairs a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X running at 4.3GHz with a GeForce RTX 5070 carrying 12GB GDDR7. 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB SATA HDD provide capacity for large libraries. A 240mm liquid cooler and 850W supply keep the components stable under load.

Step up from mid-range builds or older AM4 platforms

The jump is worth it when you need 16 cores for simultaneous streaming and rendering alongside gameplay. Builders staying on 8-core chips or previous-generation graphics will see the clearest uplift in frame consistency and multitask headroom. The AM5 socket also leaves a direct path for future CPU upgrades without changing the motherboard.

PCI Express x16 and SATA III set the storage

The graphics card occupies the primary x16 link, so additional high-bandwidth add-in cards must share remaining lanes. The 2TB hard drive uses SATA III, limiting its sequential throughput compared with the NVMe boot drive. Four DDR5 slots are all populated, so any memory increase requires replacing modules rather than adding them.

Questions about this item

What motherboard socket and CPU cooler size does the ASUS TUF GT301 case need for the Ryzen 9 9950X?

The system uses an AM5 socket motherboard and includes a 240 mm liquid cooler, so the case must accept that radiator length and the AM5 mounting pattern.

Which power cables must be connected during assembly, and which step is often missed?

Connect the 850 W PSU's 24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, and PCIe power cables to the RTX 5070; the PCIe connectors are the step most often forgotten.

How many DDR5 slots are free for a future memory upgrade?

The board has four DDR5 slots and all are populated with the 32 GB kit, so adding memory later requires replacing existing modules.
